On March 24, 2014, I attended a news confrence at Queens Park in downtown Toronto, Ontario.

I attended this event with my good solidarity friend.Thank you Lee Bolton for inviting me. Thanks to Holly Papassay and Toni Grann for their solidarity. I also noticed that NDP MPP Cheri DiNovo was at this VERY IMPORTANT media confrence. NDP MPP Cheri DiNovo supports Ombudsman Oversight of the CAS in Ontario.

My name is Larabee. I attended this event with my good solidarity friend. Thank you Lee Bolton for inviting me.At this media conference, I felt that it was appalling that no lawyer is trying to go after the CAS for the real crimes they committed against children . It is frustrating. We should be demanding nothing less then jail time for many of them for child trafficking, unlawful confinement, assault. criminal negligence.. and a full public investigation and an apology and a full review of all CAS matter over the last 30 years... and if misconduct was found then proper reprimands for those responsible..

I am a member of a class action lawsuit.The suit claims the province failed to take all necessary steps to protect the rights of Crown wards to apply for compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board or to file personal injury claims for children who were abused prior to or while in the care of the Province. In a perfect world, we would be compensated for the abuse we experienced prior to and while in foster hell but if we are not compensated for the abuse while in foster hell at the very least we should be compensated for the abuse we experienced prior to going into foster hell, right? It only makes sense that we be compensated for the abuse we experienced prior to going into foster hell. Is it hard to PROVE that we were a victim of a violent crime prior to going into foster hell? Think about it. CAS even admits that I was a victim of a violent crime prior to going into foster care.

On March 3, 2012, I attended a meeting in Newmarket. The meeting was about CA$ and police and the Ontario's school system. I saw Lee Bolton at this meeting too. FIXCAS.com posted about this meeting on their website. I attended this meeting because I was seeking support and wanted to meet other survivors and also talk about ways to force CAS to pay for my therapy bills.
