CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ONTARIO CROWN WARD

On August 5, 2011, I attended this rally in Barrie, Ontario. Pat never interviewed me and I did not want him to interview me. Nobody in that town seemed to care what Mr. Carter was saying about the CAS. I attended the rally because I was under the impression that Karen Louma owned a group home in Barrie, Ontario. I was hoping that the rally would help fix the system. I have a question for Mr. Carter. What do you think is worse? CAS or the group homes in Barrie, Ontario?

PS: Thanks for speaking the truth in this video. You said that we were going to start suing the CAS more and at the time I was not confident that there really was going to be a class action lawsuit in Ontario. Wow I AM glad I was wrong. I guess I just beleived that CAS was not ready for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

I am NOW currently a member of that very new class action lawsuit in Ontario.

I am happy the lawyers are representing us. I just wish they did it sooner. But better now then later or worse never right? Thanks.

Thank you Lee Bolton for inviting me.At this media conference, I felt that it was appalling that no lawyer is trying to go after the CAS for the real crimes they committed against children . It is frustrating. We should be demanding nothing less then jail time for many of them for child trafficking, unlawful confinement, assault. criminal negligence.. and a full public investigation and an apology and a full review of all CAS matter over the last 30 years... and if misconduct was found then proper reprimands for those responsible..

I am a member of a class action lawsuit.The suit claims the province failed to take all necessary steps to protect the rights of Crown wards to apply for compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board or to file personal injury claims for children who were abused prior to or while in the care of the Province. In a perfect world, we would be compensated for the abuse we experienced prior to and while in foster hell but if we are not compensated for the abuse while in foster hell at the very least we should be compensated for the abuse we experienced prior to going into foster hell, right? It only makes sense that we be compensated for the abuse we experienced prior to going into foster hell. Is it hard to PROVE that we were a victim of a violent crime prior to going into foster hell? Think about it. CAS even admits that I was a victim of a violent crime prior to going into foster care.
